BeBa Energy UK Ltd have completed a significant extension to Driscoll’s 1MW rooftop solar PV system.
The original system – commissioned in 2019 – was installed as part of the construction of Driscoll’s (then Berry Gardens) new headquarters.
The extension, which represents an increase of approximately 60%, was commissioned in January 2024 and is forecast to reduce Driscoll’s net electricity demand from the grid by just over 12%, and reduce their carbon emissions by a further 96,788kg per year.
It is believed that this 1.6MW array is one of the largest optimised systems in the country.
